Rod Prouse

In 1946, at the age of two, Rod Prouse and his family immigrated to Canada from England. He graduated from the Ontario College of Art in 1968 and worked for a brief period in the commercial art world before becoming a full-time artist. In 1972, Prouse settled in Halifax, Nova Scotia and began to exhibit his work. His first one-man show, in 1977 at the Canadian Fine Arts Gallery in Toronto, met with rave reviews. Subsequent Canadian and international exhibitions have proven equally successful. He currently lives in Georgian Bay, Ontario and travels widely capturing the life & energy of each place he visits within his art.
